Privacy policy
A plain-language description of how this child-directed app behaves today. It is not legal advice. Before public release the operator must add its verified legal identity, a monitored children's privacy contact, and obtain review against the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act, the UK Children's code, and any other applicable regime.
Who this app is for
Minutes Game is directed to children. We therefore apply child-protective defaults to every player, whichever age band they select on the welcome screen. The age question is deliberately coarse: it records only whether a player indicated under 13 or 13 and over. No date of birth is requested or stored.
Information we do not collect
We do not ask for or store a real name, birth date, email address, postal address, phone number, photograph, video, voice recording, school, precise location, contact list, or any government identifier. Play names are selected from a fixed word list, so free text cannot be entered anywhere in the app.
Information stored on the device
The app saves the following in ordinary browser storage on the device: the selected play name and badge, the coarse age-band flag, the privacy choice, game results, streaks, best times, badges earned, and a randomly generated identifier used solely to keep those local records together. This identifier is not an advertising identifier, is not shared, and is not used to build a profile.
Information sent to us
None. This build has no account server, no login, no cloud save, no crash reporting service, no remote analytics endpoint, no advertising script, and no payment system. Gameplay information stays on the device.
Optional on-device statistics
A player or the grown-up beside them can choose whether the app keeps local play statistics such as games started and completed. Declining means those counters are not recorded at all. The choice can be changed at any time using the Privacy choices button, and it never enables any external tracking.
Advertising
Personalised, interest-based and cross-app advertising is disabled in the application code for this audience and cannot be turned on through configuration. No advertising script is loaded in this build. If advertising is introduced in future it must be non-personalised and family-approved, this policy must first be updated to name the provider and its purpose, and the app must be registered with that provider for child-directed treatment.
No social features or user content
There is no chat, messaging, comment field, profile description, nickname text box, image upload, or player-to-player contact of any kind. Nothing a player does becomes visible to other players.
No purchases or real-money rewards
There are no in-app purchases and no currency that can be bought. Scores, streaks, badges, virtual lives and any virtual coins have no monetary value, cannot be exchanged, transferred, redeemed or withdrawn, and are not gambling.
Sharing a result
Choosing to share creates an image or short text on the device and hands it to the operating system's own share sheet, or saves it to the device. The player decides where it goes. The image contains the puzzle number, attempts, time, streak and the shape of the chain; it does not contain the play name or any personal information. A challenge link contains only a randomly generated puzzle seed.
Grown-up checks
A short multiplication question is shown before actions that change saved data or leave the game. This is a friction step intended to keep younger children out of settings. It is not identity or age verification and we do not record its result.
Retention and deletion
Locally stored information remains until it is removed. A grown-up can clear everything using Reset everything on the Profile page, by clearing browser data for this site, or by uninstalling the app. Because nothing is sent to us, there is no server-side copy for us to retain or delete.
Security
No browser storage mechanism is permanent or fully secure, and information saved on a shared device may be visible to other people using it. Because the app never requests personal information, the practical exposure is limited to game progress.
Changes to this policy
Material changes will be dated and shown on this page. Any change that introduces data collection, advertising or a third-party service must be published here, and reflected on the parents page, before it takes effect.
Contact for parents and carers
A monitored children's privacy contact address must be published here before launch.
